prepping your hair for a long term protective style is important. I am getting my sew-in done tomorrow so this wash day I focused on strengthening my hair so protein was the order of the day. This is what I did this wash day:
Pro-poo: Coconut
and tea tree oil mix for about one hour.
Shampoo: Redken
Hair Cleansing Cream followed by Affirm FiberGuard Normalizing Shampoo. This normalizing
shampoo leaves my hair feeling very moisturised even though it has all those
sulphates.
Protein: Aphogee
Two-Step Protein Treatment, this thing stinks and is very sticky but it works
like a charm. I also used the Balancing Moisturiser which I don’t like but
insist on using up.
Deep Condition:
Deep
conditioned under my steamer using my beloved Macadamia Deep Repair Masque,
read review here!
Leave-ins: Matrix
Biolage Leave-in Tonic and Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer
followed by some Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide.
My last was day I did a roller set, the set was a fail but it left
my hair more manageable. This week I attempted a flexi-rod set which was a
complete fail also but yet again my hair is more manageable since it is not as
dense as when I air dry.
How was your last wash day?
I can't wait to see your sew in Candice!
ReplyDeleteMy last wash day was protein packed too!
