My Views:
Even though the reviews on this line are very mixed I wanted for us to try it anyways. The masque smells the same as the shampoo but it is white in colour. Read my review of the shampoo here! This product looks like a thick masque but actually has the consistency of a leave in conditioner, it was very thin and runny; the runniest masque I’ve ever seen or used. Calling this a masque is an insult; I have rinse out and leave in conditioners that are thicker than this masque. Once we started to apply this masque we realize that it also has no slip whatsoever. After rinsing out the masque I knew nothing good came out from this shea moisture experience. This product does nothing of what it claims, my hair was a tangled mess after using this masque. My daughter immediately exclaimed that she hated these shea moisture products, her hair felt squeaky clean rather than moisturized after washing out this masque. Thankfully I used this product early in my stretch because it could have been a disaster detangling. I won't ever repurchase this masque, it's not worth my time or money.

Have you used this masque, how was your experience? Loved it, Liked it or Hate it?

  1. That "no slip" is the whole reason I never tried this masque! Every reviewer I trust mentioned it had no slip. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I have been tempted by the purification masque though.

  3. I love the coconut hibiscus line. The raw shea butter line sucks to me.

  4. I haven't tried this line but I mostly hear bad things about it. I have also tried the Yucca masque and hated it. I do hope you have a better experience than I did with it.

    1. The ingredient list does look good but I never expected it to be so watery.

The price I paid converts to almost $17 US

  8. Oh no why are the Shea moisture products so inconsistent??!! I am using their clarifying shampoo and moisture spray which are awesome. I don't understand why they can't get something so important as a good deep conditioner, right

    1. To me the deep conditioner is the most important thing in a product line, its usually the first thing I'll purchase to try.
